This question was inspired by the thread on Catholic priest converts to Orthodoxy.

If an Anglican (high church, Anglo-catholic type) priest converts to Orthodoxy, is he ever received by vesting, or is an ordination always required?

Most likely, yes. Some Orthodox seem to have accepted Anglican orders, but not most. And some Anglicans actually have orders from Orthodox lines apparently. But it would be better for him anyway. If he is married, they can take him as a layman and make him a priest. If he happened to have been ordained then married as an Anglican that might cause problems.

To my knowledge, Anglican priests are not received by vesting. They are reordained.

Oooohhh, the priest I am talking to was an ex-Anglican priest. I should ask him.
