Anglican Rite in Communion w/Rome

Anglican’s do have their own “rite” however they do not believe what the Catholic Church holds as Tradition on the teaching of the Holy Eucharist…and therefore not in Communion with Rome.

BTW Anglicans are not in union with the Catholic Church on many issues of sexual morality.

Those of us who actually hold to the teachings of the English Reformation certainly assent to Christian teaching on sexual morality. Read the 1662 marriage rite if you don’t believe me. And the Prayer Book teaches the Real Presence.

The majority of practising Anglicans now live in Africa, and they and their bishops are extremely orthodox. The English and American churches have visited a cancer on themselves by ordaining women, and will be swept away and replaced for having done so.

The Supper of the Lord is not only a sign of the love that Christians ought to have among themselves one to another; but rather it is a Sacrament of our redemption by Christ’s death: insomuch that to such as rightly, worthily, and with faith, receive the same, the Bread which we break is a partaking of the Body of Christ; and likewise the Cup of Blessing is a partaking of the Blood of Christ.

Transubstantiation (or the change of the substance of Bread and Wine) in the Supper of the Lord, cannot be proved by holy Writ; but is repugnant to the plains words of Scripture, overthroweth the nature of a Sacrament, and hath given occasion to many superstitions.

The Body of Christ is given, taken, and eaten, in the Supper, only after and heavenly and spiritual manner. And the mean whereby the Body of Christ is received and eaten in the Supper, is Faith.

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper was not by Christ’s ordinance reserved, carried about, lifted up, or worshipped.

As the original poster indicated, this thread is not about Anglicans, but about former Anglicans who were received corporately into the Catholic Church and granted their own Use. These former Anglicans accept wholeheartedly all Catholic teaching.

Which again brings up that the Articles are not normative for all Anglicans, in general, save only, in a technical sense, for clergy of the Church of England, IAW the 1571 Subscription Act.
