Anglican Use Mass

The problem is not an Anglican one or a Catholic one. The problem is geometrical.

Some kneelers are closer to the pew ahead of you than others. When that happens, those of us with, shall we say, some amplitude in our girth, find it harder to kneel straight up, so our “bums” naturally fall back against the pew seat. When I kneel for communion at the altar rail, I find no discomfort whatsoever.
The only thing I don’t like about the Anglican Use is that the pews in Anglican Churches are built so you perch your bum on the seat as you kneel, and that posture doesn’t feel right to me, and so kneeling up is very uncomfortable (at least for me).

Apart from that 😉 I enjoy the liturgy a great deal.

Agreed. Combine this with some degenerative disks in the low back and it makes things difficult. In some parishes I go to, I have no problem kneeling without resting my rear end on the pew, and in others I can’t do so for any length of time. When I use a kneeler which is separate from a pew and can adjust the distance, this is not as much of an issue.

Peace,
