Anime series "Aria"

Has anyone seen this series, and if so what did you think? It seems to be well-reviewed, and family-friendly (no violence, nudity etc.). Apparently the seasons had their own titles:

Season 1: Aria the Animation
Season 2: Aria the Natural
Season 3: Aria the Origination

The blurb on Amazon says: “In the early 24th century, Mars has been terraformed by mankind into a sparkling planet covered in water. Akari Mizunashi, at the age of 15, has left everything behind to travel to that reborn world now known as Aqua. More than anything, Akari wants to be an ‘‘undine’’ - a female gondolier who navigates the canals of the Aquan city of Neo-Venezia. As she begins her training with the prestigious Aria Company, will she be up to the challenges that await her on the path to achieve her dream?”

I haven’t seen it yet. It really seems family-friendly.

I’ve never seen the anime, however I did read the manga quite a few years ago. At the time it was called Aqua instead of Aria, but from your description it must be the same work. My favourite part of it was the amazing setting and the beautiful artwork. I just love the idea of having a Venetian city on Mars (especially since, sadly, the real Venice is slowly sinking).

From what I can recall, the manga didn’t have one overarching plot but rather a series of vignettes. The manga was quite family friendly, and in fact I think was rated E for Everyone (the equivalent of a “G” rating). So I would imagine the anime would be the same.
