Annual Catholic Appeal / Illegal Immigration

My bishop is asking for money for the above, but I’m really against what many of our Southern California bishops stand for with regard to illegal immigration. Am I being cheap? Should I be concerned where my money is going? Is it right to withhold money if I don’t think it’ll be used in the right places?
