I do believe such information is unfortunately sometimes given to the petitioner. It should not be. Only the judge or judges hearing the case can reach a decision on the validity of a marriage. No one should tell you beforehand that a decree of nullity will be issued.
 
Thank you for all of your insight. And I agree that bad information is often given to petitioners. Sadly, to this day I’ve not received much of an explanation as to what to expect, the process etc. just that now it’s in the final stage, waiting for a signature and decision.
