The medically necessary argument doesn’t need to be that complex.

It’s like you’re walking in the woods and caught in a bear trap. Do we give you a hacksaw to chop off your leg or do we carefully try to open the trap in order to save your leg and get you out?

Killing a child is many times more dangerous than pregnancy.

Also the argument in favor of abortion in order to prevent a child from being born into abusive or poverty circumstances is equally as logically fallacious as any other for the same reasons.

Interesting… it’s not 24/7 belief for some people.

That’s right. While it is unfortunate for a child to live in a bad situation, it’s still better than being dead.

How does going home at the end of the day prove the protesters are insincere? William Lloyd Garrison would take breaks from his activism to eat and sleep and unwind; does that mean he wasn’t a sincere abolitionist?

When speaking to someone Pro-Choice, she asked something somewhere along the lines of, “why should other people have a say in how I use my body?”
Because your baby is a helpless person too, and the law is supposed to protect helpless persons.
“If I’m going through all the pains of creating a child, shouldn’t I have a say in whether or not I want to stop it?”
Only if you want to commit murder on a helpless person.
Also: “pregnancy is dangerous, why should I be put through that without a choice?”
Because (assuming this isn’t a rape or incest case) you already made a choice. You chose to get busy with some guy, and this is what can happen. Own it.

People have to go to sleep so automatically that’s impossible for it to be 24/7. Some people also have to work on Saturdays.

If you are having a conversation with someone who says that, ask them why they demand that artificial contraception be available to everyone and I the tax payer have to pay for it? Why do I the tax payer have to pay for your abortion? Why am I on the hook for your recreational activities?

I think that you and your partner should be discussing these issues before you have sex. If the woman is going to take on the risk of getting pregnant, what will the guy do to help her regarding pain, cost, and possible loss of job? It is a very smart conversation to have.

Good point. Not only are we paying for her recreational activities, we are paying for his.

Short version: an acorn is not an oak tree. A tadpole is not a frog. A fetus is not a person.
But sea turtle eggs are federally protected to the tune of fines of up to $100,000 and up to one year in jail because sea turtles are an endangered species.

But sea turtle eggs are not sea turtles. Go figure!
