Another Confession question

So last confession i confessed to reading inappropriate things referring to some erotic stories and a couple of books that had sexual stuff in them. Was just saying inappropriate things specific enough? If not what should I do?
 
I think if your Confessor had felt it necessary to ask for specifics, he would have. There’s probably no reason for you not to explain more fully if it leaves you more peaceful.
However, the priest didn’t ask for more so be at peace. You received absolution, and your task is now to avoid such literature, not to worry about the Confession. 🙂

May God help you to avoid whatever is occasion of sin/guilt for you! And to successfully seek out more life-giving ways to alleviate boredom!

Sure, priests know what ‘inappropriate’ means in such a context. If your priest had needed any clarification, or had thought you werent being specific enough, he would’ve asked for it.

Remember, in any case you’re primarily confessing to God, and He certainly knows what you meant and that you weren’t being deliberately misleading or anything. No need to stress.

ok just making sure because i said inappropriate because i didn’t want to say it the other way because it is a bit more embarrassing.
 
Don’t sweat it. You did not say it to mislead and he did not feel the need to ask for clarity.
