Another prayer request

My mom was rushed to the ER this evening after returning from a trip to the cancer hospital with my dad, looks like she had a mini stroke. I’m still awaiting word from my brother as to what the diagnosis is… I’m glad he was able to go to the hospital tonight to be with my parents after I called him.

It appears that mom may have a blocked artery in her neck since she’s got pain on one side of her head and neck. She had slurred speech, couldn’t even use the phone to call me when they got home this evening, and became very dizzy and weak. She could only smile on one side of her face when the paramedic asked her to smile for him and that was after she didn’t respond right away to his instructions.

So please, on top of my dad’s lung cancer, husband’s kidney stones, and my upcoming early labor, I ask for prayers for my mom as well.

Oh, dad was scheduled for surgery to remove the golf ball sized tumor from his lung on Oct. 21, please keep that in prayer as well.

I can’t imagine what you are going through at this time. I am praying for you and for all your family members. May God make everything well. You are experiencing tremendous suffering. May your faith be unshakeable.
 
Saying prayers now. You need to keep relaxed as much as you can right now. I realize that it’s easier said than done, esp. since it feels like all heck broke loose(I understand–have had more than a few of those times in the last couple years) but you’re about to pop a baby out and being majorly worried is not good for you or the baby.

(Hope this makes sense—I think I’m rambling because I’m so tired)
 
A word of encouragement from Catholic Exchange, something that I’ve thought about all week, it is even more powerful now:

Pain is not wasted in the Kingdom of God!​

Psalms 34:19
Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the LORD delivers him
out of them all.
The definitive lesson of both Jesus and Job is that suffering is not
necessarily a sign of punishment. It may be and often is a sign of
special favor. Jesus did not promise to deliver us from pain and death. He
promised to deliver us through it to eternal life. He who was himself
most highly favored of God was a man of sorrows and acquainted with
grief. If we are suffering innocently too then let us take the trials we
are bearing to him who knows what it is like to suffer such pain. He
will be able to turn our ashes into something wonderful in his time and
in his way. Nothing, not even pain, is wasted in the Kingdom of God.
If you are suffering, truly offer that suffering up to God. You many
never have an opportunity like this again.

Kelly–I am so sorry for your family and these medical crises. Keep praying and I will add you to my prayers tonight.

A really hard time - sending you {{{{Hugs}}}} and may God give you the strength to accept this and grow stronger in you faith through these trials.
