Hi, I seem to only post prayer requests. :o (I HATE getting into debates). Thank you for your past prayers. :blessyou: Right now, I need prayers to overcome my anxiety at applying for a new position at a company I already work for. I can’t seem to get up the courage to upload my resume and cover letter because I am afraid I made a mistake, and I had stated that I am diligent about accuracy in the cover letter. Please pray that I can get over this. :byzsoc:The job posting will end soon. 😦

Ok, I’ve submitted my application. Now I need prayers for the best: To get the job if I will do well in it. I’m afraid if I’m hired, I’ll not do well, then lose my job. The reason I’m nervous is because the new position, while retaining a lot of the tasks of my current position (which I do very well), will require front desk work and answering phones at the reference desk (I work at a university library).

A few times now, I have been asked to cover the front desk for a few minutes (and given a manual), and have panicked when asked to do anything more than check books in and out of the library or find a book or article (which are some of the tasks in my current job). Asking a patron to wait a moment while flipping through to the correct page made me feel like a useless idiot. I’ve already downloaded the front desk procedures manual to my home computer and am studying it. Please pray now that I can get the hang of things so I can be confident in the interview (if I get one). :byzsoc:

Thank you, everyone for your prayers.:grouphug: I did not get the job. 😦 My boss told me it was because whenever I was asked to sit the reference desk briefly, I looked panicky (which I was), and sitting the ref desk will be half of the job. I thanked him for the consideration and advice, and told him that II just have to get more practice in so I know what I’m doing. Then I’ll have confidence.

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Uliana988), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
