The Atheist alliance are having a big conference in Washington D.C. this september.
Talkers are among others: Sam Harris,Richard Dawkins,Ayaan Hirshi Ali,Dan Dennett and Chris Hitchens who called Mother Theresa a"fraud" who did not love the poor,but the poverty.
Is it a good thing to go there and take a discussion with the godless souls?

What do you hope to accomplish? These folks aren’t going to be persuaded by your arguments. Let the atheists have their little meeting. How would you feel if they invaded some sort of Catholic convention and started voicing their arguments for the non-existence of a god?

Certainly evangelical efforts are seldom wasted. If protestors are there then the story is “Catholics protest atheist conference”. If not the newspapers run a “great and good atheists offer pearls of wisdom” type story.

Pray for them. Recall that, in the prayer of Fatima, we ask Jesus to lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of His mercy. I think the atheists fall into that category, and I try to remind myself of them when I recite that prayer.
