Hello Brothers and Sisters!

I’m making my way through a 54 day rosary for the conversion of sinners. I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences of God answering their prayers for the conversion of their loved ones. How long did you pray before the prayer was answered? I know this depends on the person being prayed for but I wonder if there is a typical amount of time that is common. Also what prayers and devotions did you use, etc.

Looking for encouragement and would love to hear about what the Lord is doing for his people.

Thanks

I am doing a 54 day novena to Our Lady of the Rosary as well as Novenas to The Blessed Souls in Purgatory and Novenas to St. Michael.

In the first months of my return to the faith, I prayed daily rosaries, offered up prayers at Mass, and fasted for the conversion of my Protestant friends.

One year later, my oldest and closest friend was Baptized, confirmed and received into the Church at the Easter vigil Mass.

And today he is in his fifth year as an FSSP seminarian at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Lincoln, Nebraska. God willing, he will be ordained in 2015.

Deo Gratias.

God will hear your prayers.

That’s awesome thanks for the reply.

I prayed for a couple of years for my husband, who joined the Church at Easter last year. I used some spiritual warfare prayers from the Saint Mike site online and wrote some of my own prayers. I regularly use the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for the conversion of all sinners. I also used prayers for marriage, and still do. Most changes came for me when I devoted time to prayer daily. I just started a notebook and kept on going. I, too, am doing a 54 day Rosary, for some conversions. I am about 12 days from being done. My daughter used the 54 day Rosary for her husband, before they were married, and he announced his conversion at the very end of her Rosary. However, he was invested in becoming Catholic at that time and made his final decision. She took it as a sign to continue the relationship. It has been six years since they married. He’s become a wonderful Catholic. I have other prayers ongoing for other conversions in my family and some friends that have been ongoing for several years. I have to remind myself regularly that things happen in God’s time, not mine and that the Holy Spirit is the One who converts hearts. Just keep on praying and never stop, no matter how things “look.”
