Hi folks,

I’ve been engaged in spiritual conversations with a relative who grew up in the Church, but now subscribes to a hodgepodge of Eastern/New Age/Pantheist views. I’ve found it’s a struggle to get him to focus in on any particular topic, or think critically about things rather than simply speculate. I’m hoping to find some resources (books, audio, etc.) that focuses specifically on Catholic apologetics for New Ageism/pantheism. While material focusing on specific arguments would be helpful, I’m more so hoping for methodology; what sort of questions to ask, where to apply pressure, what topics to focus on. Any recommendations?

I recommend a book by Father Mitch Pacwa called Catholics and the New Age.

Sometimes people just believe things because they want to. There is no reasoning about it.
