answers?

Im not sure if this question is in the right place-- but here it goes

I pray all the time, and I ask for help or guidance and I never can hear the answer… I try to look for answers that Hes giving me but I cant find them anywhere.

I know He works through people and things and its not as simple as a voice saying “YES” or “NO” but where do you find these answers?

maybe I can help you a little, maybe not. I know of a few ppl. on here that will probably give you better answers.

First - don’t ever think God doesn’t come right out and say ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ or anything else He wants to unequivocally state to you. He can, and does.

More often than not though, the answer is in that ‘still small voice’ inside of us. Listen for that voice in complete silence, and total openness to receiving it. That voice is the Holy Spirit God Promised to us.

If you don’t get an answer, that may mean whatever you choose is fine to Him. He makes the most of what choices we make. We have the freedom to choose - so, making our own choice after asking Him for guidance and receiving none is fine - so long as we’re not open to ‘anything but this Lord’ 😊 . God wants us to experience the beauty and joy in this life also, just not to go hog wild in it and forget all about Him.

Other times, a door will open to something and we feel a ‘drawing’ in that direction - again, pray and ask if that is from Him or not.

There are a lot of different ways we get answers, yes - but God always works with us at the level we are at. He doesn’t play hide-and-seek with us. He wants us to grow with Him, and He always works in that direction, but what we need to know He tells us so long as we ask and are willing to listen.

You are not alone.

The Catholic Church is a diverse organization. There are the traditionalists, charismatic renewal, the mainstream Catholics, the Catholics in name only and the Saints.

So God must be diverse as well. I think it is a sure bet that one size doesn’t fit all. Part of our lives, maybe all of our lives, is figuring out what God wants.

There are people, in the diversity we call the Catholic Church, that focus their actions on doing what the Church teaches. For them there are no situations that are not resolved by reading the Catechism. They have a wonderful gift, I don’t have it.

My response to God is to love others as He loves me. Now that isn’t going to be a very good way to go if you don’t feel that God loves you. It is really sad, but many people have never experienced love in their life. So how can they know God?

The best thing you can do is go and talk to a priest, maybe several priests. If you are praying, and God doesn’t seem to be answering your prayers seek out the Church. That is what it is here for. Christianity is a community thing. It is very unusual to be a Christian in isolation and that is probably not for you, or me. Let the priest guide you. God does not answer all your questions. There are questions you can ask that He will never answer. Make sure you are not asking those questions.
 
Answers to my prayers are usually subtle, but sometimes they are more obvious.

The best example i can give is this past sunday. I was having a hard time in my personal life, i won’t go into the details, but the reading and sermon was right on track with what i needed to hear. It was almost as if it was meant for me alone. No doubt it was the answer to my prayers.

My advice to you is to just be mindful of God in everything. He acts in many ways and you don’t want to miss the subtle ones.
 
I read it in Bible that, He replied directly, sent prophets etc. But I don’t think, it will happen to every human being.

But I would like to share the way in which I hear His voice. After post graduation, I was waiting for a job and that time I expected that, He did something in my case. Because job is important on all life. One of my friend told me that, God didn’t come with a job offer. He suggested that, if you want to hear his opinion then spend one hour with Jesus through rosary, read Bible and fasting on the same day (if possible). Then give the matter to Jesus and believed that He will respond. Then wait for His reply. The way He spoked is different in each time.

In my case, one of my friend called me and suggested to study a web programming language, so that he can help me to join on his office. I started to study and then register on some job sites and got job within one Month.

So He responded through my friend by suggesting a way through which I can find a job. And this happens many times in my life and thus I believe strongly on the words

**Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you and you will honor me
