Anti anti-Catholic

I’m done being an anti anti-Catholic.

Through a lot of reading and study, I’ve come to the conclusion that my being Catholic is ok. Anyone who thinks it’s not ok can get on a slow boat to China.

So there.

Hold me to it.

I’m done.

Forever.

Mark, that is good to hear. It is easier to attract bees with honey than with vinegar.

Jesus told us to love our enemy. He also said that those who are not against us are for us.

We do not have to “BEAT UP” non-Catholics for not having our faith, we just have to love them and show them the love of the Church.

A double negative is logically a positive. For simplicity’s sake why not just call yourself a Catholic ?

I am a Professional anti “Professional Anti-Catholic”. Which means that I, with as much humility and charity and I can muster, and with the help of God’s grace, use my ability to communicate in an effort to dispell the misdirections and bad information put forth by professional anti-Catholics. There, clear as mud.

I speak out where I can. But I have learned to chose my battles. When I was a new catholic, I had more zeal then brains. And I got in over my head and lost patience.

As far as “attracting more flies with honey than with vinegar,” I’ll answer that the same way my daughter did when she was four. “Bleeeah! I don’t like flies!!”

Focus on your spirituality and the Holy Spirit will send people to you who are in need of answers! If it is possible the Holy Sprit will give the opportunity. I find it hard to pass up Catholic bashing on the internet without defending the Church with truth. It can get in the way of our personal sprituality though… You should follow your impulse to give it a rest for awhile, you may find yourself called to it again someday. It can be exhausting! I have been staying at these forums lately because some others I have found are so negative, and it can become depressing to swim in negativity in so much of my free time.
