Bit I’m sure a word would never be uttered about Muslims being against contraception.
That may be because many of the schools of Islam are not opposed to contraception, at least not all forms. The position of Islam, in general, with regard to contraception more closely resembles that of Judaism than Catholicism.Bit I’m sure a word would never be uttered about Muslims being against contraception.
All worth considering, but I still think you’re missing the point. It wouldn’t matter what Islam taught, it would still be pandered to and virtue-signaled upon. That may be because many of the schools of Islam are not opposed to contraception, at least not all forms. Yes, I do realize that and agree with you.All worth considering, but I still think you’re missing the point. It wouldn’t matter what Islam taught, it would still be pandered to and virtue-signaled upon.
Disagree. There has been plenty of criticism of certain wings of Islam, and not just the ones that like to blow up innocents. Just look at the Wahhabi school of Islam in Saudi Arabia for example. It is constantly being criticized for its views on women, family, etc… This idea that Islam is above criticism is overblown. All worth considering, but I still think you’re missing the point. It wouldn’t matter what Islam taught, it would still be pandered to and virtue-signaled upon.
As I understand it, contraception rates and abortion rates rise and fall together, with contraception leading the way. I used to have a link to the data, and if I think of it later, I’ll try to find it for you.Is it true that contraception lowered the abortion rate?
What else do you expect from left wing “steamroller” journalism - if you could call what they do, journalism?
There’s no good evidence easy access to contraception lowers abortion rates. Is it true that contraception lowered the abortion rate?
No surprise here.

Let’s see what the Taliban do:No surprise here.
And we are basically the Taliban if we speak out against the Mandate. How disgusting ad unfair of them.
Behar especially needs to be prayed upon. Through the prayers of the Mother of God, have mercy on us and save us. amen.![]()
Do you really mean to compare American liberals to the Taliban? Please rethink this.Let’s see what the Taliban do:
**Let’s see what American liberals do:
- Silence, persecute & jail if not kill Christians
- Use the force of big government to get their way
- Think very highly of their version of Islam
- Do not tolerate dissent

The Catholic Church permits the use of hormonal birth control when the intention is to address a medical issue (such as you mentioned) and the infertility is an unintended side effect.I’ve never watched a full episode of the view and never plan to. The way that they treat conservative women is horrible. Let’s also remember that sex is a choice, and a privilege to be enjoyed by married folks for the purpose of building families and creating intimacy between husband & wife. Sex is not something you are obligated to partake in. Therefore, birth control should not be treated in the same category as food, water, and medication which are basic needs.
That being said, I do kind of see the point espoused by the opposing field and know that there are exceptions to every rule. Some women experience severe hormone related health problems that are alleviated by birth control drugs. I think that religious employers should ideally have provisions for cases like that in their healthcare plans but I can also foresee people taking advantage of that as a loophole.
