(RNS) It’s a weekday afternoon, and Jaspreet Singh is usually at work, but power drill in hand, he’s attaching new “security cameras in use” signs to the outside of the Sikh temple in Buena Park, Calif.
Singh took the time off from his job as an information technology manager to protect the temple where he serves as a board member after he learned it had been vandalized.
“I was definitely shocked because our community is very peaceful. We don’t preach any hate. We respect all religions,” he said.
He was less surprised when he found out that the graffiti painted onto the walls of the temple’s parking lot and a truck parked there included slurs about “ISIS” and “Islam.” “Whenever terrorists attack, or any such incidents happen, there have always been backlashes,” he said.

I remember after 9/11, Balbir Singh Sodhi was murdered because he had a beard and turban.

I don’t think bigots can be bothered to ensure the victims of their hate are the “correct” ones. And I don’t think they are bothered in the slightest if they happen to choose the “wrong” target.

I remember reading about a neo-Nazi racist guy, he was the ultimate anti-Semite. He found out he was Jewish on his mother’s side – so he turned around and became the ultimate anti-Gentile. 🤷

If anyone is looking for logic or intelligence among the perpetrators, then I’ve got a nice bridge with a view of Brooklyn you can buy and start your search from. :whacky:

I have been trying to evangelize people of different faiths. Jewish, Muslim, and Sikh. Mostly Muslims. Only one Jew that I am certain of, although maybe more (a devout Jew who in his attempt to be loyal to God began to pray when I started talking to him), multiple Muslims, and a Sikh.

The Sikh was a kind man with seemingly great faith in the Creator. I believe God wants him to come to a knowledge of the truth because I am certain God was giving him graces when I was speaking to him. I also believe God brought him to this country for the purpose of his salvation. Please pray for his conversion.

The Sikh was sure to make it known that he was Sikh. I could be wrong, but I think this may have been to let me know that he was not Muslim.

I see all of these people in those religions and I have compassion and desire their Salvation. Please pray for their conversion.
