Any experience of yourselves going through petitioning for an Anullment for the second time
around?

I haven’t met someone who’s gotten an annulment, gotten married, then successfully gotten one again…but I have known people who have gotten an annulment for a first marriage in hopes of normalizing their second (or third) in order to “save” it and then in the process of getting the annulment realized that there were unresolvable issues that meant their current marriage was untenable. But that’s really not a second annulment.

Typically, those who have annulments are given extra screening and pre-cana. Was this not the case?

I am a life long Catholic and have persoanlly never heard of anyone successfuly getting a second annulment.

Then we’ll have to pray all the more for reconnecting and reconciling. And yes there was advice with the last Anullment
given.

It is certainly possible. Each petition stands on its own merit. There are two parties to the marriage, so even if one party went in with proper intent and consent the other may not have. Or there may have been information kept from one party that forms an impediment.

If a person believes they have grounds, then they should approach their pastor.

I do know a few people personally, through my work in the church, who have received two decrees of nullity.

I’m wondering if you mean you applied and we’re turned down the first appeal, and then gathered more evidence and reapplied?

But if it’s a second separate, I believe in the world we live in, I think we will start to see more.

Green fields continued prayers for you.
