Please pray for me. I have mental illness. They are not sure what it is (the label) but I have had psychotic episodes before that scared me to death. I do rely upon God each day as I feel anxiety every morning before I go to work. I even feel it now on Sunday and I have to work tomorrow. I am also very shy and I am a transplanted Yankee living here in the south. I have been here 7 months and I just go to mass and feel to shy to talk to anyone. I have one best friend that I can talk to about anything but other than him nothing. If anyone on here with MI and/or who have had psychosis want to befriend me they are welcome to. I have heard of God giving us suffering and using it to help others. Not sure. But I know each day I must struggle so I don’t call out of work. I lack passion for the work that I do. But those who know me said no matter what I did I would most likely feel that same anxiety. I also feel a call to serve God and I’m not sure how or where. Just pray for me. Thank you.

I will pray for you for relief from anxiety and psychotic episodes and that you can be properly diagnosed and treated for your issues that cause suffering. Also prayers for your work situation to be less stressful and your friend situation.

and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and
a symbol of charity to all who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure
youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all suffering
such trials, and especially those for whom we pray.

We beg You, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna
on our behalf. Grant all those for whom we pray
patience in their sufferings and resignation to Your
divine will. Please fill them with hope, and grant
them the relief and cure they so desire.

We ask this through Christ our Lord,
who suffered agony in the garden. Amen.

Amen to this advice.

Saint Christina the Astonishing, Saint Benedict Joseph Labre, and Our Lady of Lourdes are three other saints for whose intercession you can pray. BTW, the feast day of St. Joseph the Worker is a week from today: May 1.

I pray that our Heavenly Father will ease your suffering. I pray that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts and minds of those around you so that they will interact with you in precisely the way you need and that he will guide you to pass the gift on to others who are similarly suffering.

I’m not in the same boat as you, though I’m in a similar one with my own anxieties and work situation (among other concerns), and I bet that if everyone on Earth emulated Simon of Cyrene to help each other carry their burdens we could really call down the infinite power of love, grace, and beauty that comes from God himself. Someone recently gave me this prayer when I badly needed it, and now I pass it on to you:

OUR LADY OF MENTAL PEACE PRAYER
O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility and
Mother of Hope,
look upon me in this time
of disquiet and weakness.
Still my restless spirit,
teach my searching heart to know

Heh, well, I haven’t had a psychotic episode yet, but it runs in the family, so it might just be a matter of time. My prayers are with you. (: St. Dymphna, St. Joseph, St. Anne, pray for us. Amen.

That was a hard time I went through this week, a real low. But I feel your prayers, and appreciate you all. I had a much better day today, thank you all again brothers and sisters in the Lord.
