I was diagnosed autistic in college. When I joined FB, I joined a forum for autistic Christians like myself and eventually formed one of my own. (It’s ecumenical) At last tally, we have around 550 members. (For those who don’t know, most autistic people are atheist.) I will give a link to the group on Easter, as I have given up FB for Lent.

I wouldn’t call myself Christian anymore, most of the undertones of the church are incompatible with my mental state. I am here though despite many things listening as we do. Sometimes hoping some says that one thing that helps clear things up.

You know how we are dismissed because we can’t talk or in those case post clearly. I read about 200 posts a day, most of it non helpful but looking none the less.

Tl;dr present, I guess.

Yeah, I’m an autistic Christian 🙂 Ironically my autism actually gives me an advantage in, well, being a better Catholic, because I have a tendency to get obsessive about my interests and I try to channel that obsession into my faith.
