Just wanna know. I’m a fairly new vegetarian and plan on becoming Vegan.

Hopefully you will be able to research the many avenues for advice in articles and in appropriate forums, for nutritional advice, so that you avoid deficiencies.
I have a daughter-in-law who is vegan, and proud of her avoidance of every possible animal product.
It can be challenging.
God bless you.

Yes, I am susceptible to Iron deficiencies so I make sure to take supplements just in case.

Here’s one for the philosopher’s on CAF. Does the Real Presence in the Eucharist contradict the intent of the Vegan? After all Christ did say, “my flesh is real food…”

Note: I wish there was a mischief emoji: 😉😉

I’m in sympathy with vegetarianism and veganism in principle. In practice, I do eat chicken, fish and occasionally some red meat. Its obviously kinder not to eat animals and healthier also since we humans have a digestive system more suited to a vegetarian and non dairy diet. 🥕🍅🍊:slightly_smiling_face:r:🥑

I am an ovo lacto vegetarian. It was supposed to be temporary, and here I am, almost five years later, and still a vegetarian.

Good luck. There are many good dishes out there. What made you decide to become veggie?

Mine was just supposed to be for Lent, but I just didn’t want to eat meat again. That, and I lost a lot of weight.

You don’t feel horribly tempted when you’re driving by a steakhouse or a Red Lobster 😳 You make me feel like a klingon.

I would need to live in a convent with strict, orderly authority over me to be a vegetarian or a vegan. I don’t know how I could implement something like that if I was left to my own devices. Although fruit & veggies are fantastic too, food is a little bit of a hobby for me. Trying & cooking new things, etc. Filipino fish jerky was my latest new thing.

I’m not a vegan, I can make those cheddar biscuits at home. Those things are awesome.
