Any Catholics from Kerala here?

Yes, I am originally from Kerala but grew up outside of the state.
 
I think Kerala has a democratically-elected communist government? Does it protect freedom of religion?
 
To a great extend. Kerala has Hindus, Muslims, Jews and Christians. All are in religious harmony compared to other states in India. I feel so happy, blessed and privileged to be chosen to the Catholic Church.
