Just ideal , not necessary for first steps of family members going to Rcia , I myself have Roman Catholic baptism , etc, but have benefitted spending a few years in Eastern Catholic Church too ( Pope John Paul’s instruction to know the eastern Liturgy intimately ), so if there was a chance a teacher priest ‘ happened’ to have both faculties , it could be a richer experience for those interested
