I’m ashamed to say, I don’t know much about Mary, except the basics. Over the past several weeks, I’ve been praying for her intercession more and more.

Does anyone know any great books about her?

Vatican II, Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, on the role of Mary.
Pope Paul VI, Christi Matri
National Conference of Catholic Bishops , Behold Your Mother: Woman of Faith
John Paul II, Redemptor Hominis
John Paul II, Rosarium Virginis Mariae

The Silence of Mary by Father Ignacio Larranaga; you won’t put it down.

All the books are good.

I would recommend praying to our Lord Jesus, that he introduce you to his Mother and teach you about his Mother, and praying to Mary herself, asking her to come to you and to teach you about herself.

Trust me, your prayer will not be refused.

Have read “Hail Holy Queen” by Scott Hahn and very highly recommend it. Easy to read and relatable to our everyday lives.👍

You may want to try The Immitation of Mary by Thomas A. Kempis.

He also wrote The Immitation of Christ and that is a classic.

I trust that his book on Mary would be excellent as well (I hope to buy/read it soon).

True Devotion to Mary by St. Louis de Montfort
The World’s First Love by Fulton Sheen

And if you want a complete compendium of pretty much everything written on Mary, read St. Alphonsus Ligouri’s amazing “The Glories of Mary”. That would be the best book I would recommend. Especially because he’s constantly quoting previous saints and spiritual writers.
