I’ve got the day off tomorrow and I’d like to find a good Catholic bookstore to visit in Los Angeles. I live in North Hollywood so anything within 10-15 miles would be fine. I know there is a really decent giftshop with lots of books at the Cathedral, but it costs $5 to park there (who do they think they are, Disneyland?). So hopefully one of you might have some other alternatives for me?? Please?? 🙂

The best one that I know of in that area is the Daughters of St. Paul bookstore in Culver City, right off the 405 (San Diego) Freeway. I believe you get off at Washington and the store itself is on Sepulveda Blvd.

The best store to go to PERIOD, but is much farther, is the Catholic Resource Center in West Covina. It is off of the 10 freeway and you can exit on either Vincent or Sunset (the store is visible from the freeway on the north side). It is basically the headquarters for St. Joseph’s Communications and all their fine tapes, plus loads of great books and sacramentals. I’m like a kid in a candy shop there!! 😃

Thank you, Fidelis! That is exactly what I’m looking for. I think I’ll go to Culver City this weekend and save West Covina for when I get back from my vacation in September. Something to look forward to 🙂
