I’ve read one called Soul Cartel. Sure there are some incompatibilities such as reincarnation and man becoming angels, but most of the story is inline, especially in the last battle.

Is there any recommendations?

While not manga, The Truth is Out There is a good graphic novel series worth checking out.

I’d be very surprised, the culture (Japanese) which Manga originates from is very much non-Catholic - it’s Shintoist, with some elements of Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism also.

That, and many of the people who are into Manga in the West are pretty secular and atheist leaning, leads me to conclude that the selection for “Catholic manga” would be slim to none.

“Catholic Manga” would be a subgenre of Manga.
Manga is a subgenre of cartoons and comics. Comics and cartoons are a subgenre of literature and video entertainment.

So trying to find a very specialized subgenre, of something which is a subgenre of a thing which is a subgenre is going to be exceedingly rare.

Indeed. The words Catholic and Manga in the same sentence is bizarre.
😬

Maybe what he means are Catholic tropes within manga? Or Catholic concepts.

A story where you have suffering, fallen people, then a Messiah figure comes and sacrifices himself for them and saves them from something…

I just reread his OP, and I think he may have been more asking about any manga with Catholic themes like that, rather than actual “Catholic manga.”

This is what I meant. Sorry for confusions.

If you really look for it, you can find a seeking for God in very many forms of media from all over the world.
