I’m hoping - am sure one or many of you in this forum - someone can direct me to a good, orthodox site where I can find some explanations or commentaries on the daily Mass readings. I’m not getting very far Googling for them! I’m really puzzled by some of the gospels and need to find out how the Church interprets these scriptures. Thank you!

I can recommend two.

The first is the Navarre Bible commentaries on the daily and Sunday readings. You can even subscribe for free to get them delivered to your e-mail everyday.

The second are some meditations on the daily readings from Don Schwager. It is mostly for personal application, but he does regularly include background information to help you understand the readings better.

Hope that helps!

We use the Word Among us. The online version is available at Word Among Us. It has definitely enriched our love for scripture tremendously.

God Bless…
