Hello. Some time ago I found in the net this photograph, yet I have been unable to track down the slightest details about it (e.g. photographer, year, location, etc.). Any information or suggestions?

The only thing that occurs to me is this. Driving in Austria, you often see a cross or crucifix by the roadside which – so I was told – mark the place where someone was killed in an accident. But I don’t remember ever seeing such a large crucifix as this one.

If you go to Google Images and type in Austria Roadside Crucifix, you’ll see quite a wide variety.

Thanks. I am aware of these --mostly european-- roadside crosses, but the one in the photograph seems to be very large in comparison to them.

Some monastries might have the stations of the cross on the property.
