I haven’t been able to follow the news much, but I believe there was suppose to be some relief for unemployed homeowners.
I just read this article, but it seems to only pertain to Citigroup.

My parents have had their home for 15 years and never defaulted. However right now they are unemployed. They have eight more years on the mortgage. My brother and I are trying to help out, but does anyone know if the government will help out. A program like that for a few months would really help us breath a bit better while my dad finds another job.
