What Feast Days do you celebrate at home? Do you cook anything or do anything specific for that Feast Day?

Cook the day before and also clean the house so I don’t work on a Feast Day (unless I have to go to the job) and I say prayers to the Saints of the Day or other special prayers for that day.

We do this for days or saints that have special meaning to us, or if there are traditions that aren’t too hard to do. For example, Michaelmas was on Sept 29 and many traditions involve autumnal foods and roast poultry. That’s not hard and the food is easily available! St Luke’s feast day is coming up and I already have oxtail in my freezer, so I’m going to make stew.

This is one very good use of the calendars many parishes give out - I use mine for meal planning, so I can look ahead for the week and figure out if there’s anything I want to do.

We also celebrate our baptism days and name days with a special treat.

Spiritual practices are more appropriate, but I never know what to do.
