I did Latin at school,but i left school in 1960.Latin sentence construction is different from English and i have been away from
it too long to feel confident about translating it correctly.Perhaps a priest who comes on here or on Catholic On Line will be able to give the exact translation.I can only give the Latin for the individual words.
ille=he
qui-that
serere =to plant
spina=thorn
sperandum est =we must expect
numquam=never
rosa= rose
Sorry i can’t do better than that.There can also be 3 or 4 Latin
words for the one English word,so it can be awkward trying to pick the most suitable one.If you have done any Latin at all,you will know about Nominative case,Accusative case,Dative case etc.

This is kind of off the subject, but are you absolutely sure you want to permanently mark your ankle with a tatoo that you might eventually regret having?

Please be advised Tattooing is considered a sin by the church. If God wanted those on your body, he would have put them there. IHS Daryl
