I did this when I was a kid and was thinking about picking it up again. Other people had baseball cards, I had saints and third class relics. I just love the idea of having a collection of prayers and sometimes mementos from different shrines.

Yeah, sort of. I enjoy all my holy cards. I was just thinking the other day how it’s kinda like collecting baseball cards. 👍

My mum does, and I always try to remember to pick one up if I’m at a funeral home for a Catholic.

She must have a lot, as I’ve been doing that for many years, and she picks them up when she’s at a funeral as well.

I certainly do. 😃

They’re nice to have around whenever you need the prayers. I have 8 of them at the moment: Spiritual Communion, St. Jude, St. Anthony, St. Paul, St. Michael, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Our Lady Undoer of Knots.

And I plan to collect more soon!

I have a lot of holy cards … you can actually buy packs of them … I have also supplemented them with additional prayer cards and relic cards … I have a large Catholic library, and I use the regular holy cards as bookmarks … it’s always nice to have a reminder here and there.

I too, have several dozen holy cards, but just about all of them have a 2nd or 3rd class relic attached or embedded on the card. They do, indeed, come in handy for prayer, but I would never think of using any of these precious items for a bookmark. They range in size from a large postcard size down to a thumbnail-sized laminated card. May God continue to bless our angels, saints and holy men and women, as I truly believe they bring us closer to our beloved Lord.
