I’m slowly beginning my discernment process. I know I have a ways to go since I must pray very often, and be patient as I get confirmed and my emotions get settled. I know no decisions can be made now as I don’t want to mistake my excitement for a calling.
I am extremely drawn to the Carmelite Order, however. I do know that somehow, in some way, I’m meant to have an affiliation with them.
I was just wondering if anyone here is in a Third Order of any religious group, and how you knew it was your calling to be in the Third Order. Also, whether or not you struggled in figuring out whether it was the Third or First Order you were being called to join.
Please pray for me, if you can, as I try to discern between religious life and marriage. I’m not sure yet which way I’m to go.
