If you could maybe pm me with info on your Traditional Parish, I am interested in attending.

Thanks, maurin

Hi Maurin,
there is an indult Latin mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Miami.

St. Philomena Catholic Church, in Miami’s Little Havana section, is an independent TLM parish, but has close ties with the SSPX. It is NOT part of the Archdiocese, however.

I live in North Miami Beach (Skylake) and attend
St. Lawrence Catholic Church (“novus ordo”).

As I understand, Fr. Hopkins has an indult with E.D. He’s a holy priest, having assisted me a great deal when it came to traveling from Orlando to Miami for Confirmations last year. Former Anglican convert & New Mass priest as well I believe.

I have met Father Timothy (Hopkins) and spoken with him a few times on the phone, and I have to say that he is quite a very nice gentleman.

Unfortunately, the Archdiocese of Miami not too long ago listed his Saint Philomena Catholic Church as a church where Catholics CANNOT satisfy their Sunday obligation because it is not with the Archdiocese.

Too bad, because I went to one of his TLM masses once, years ago, and it was a beautiful, moving experience.

Wrong. Canon Law clearly states the Sunday obligation is at a CATHOLIC RITE. The TLM with prayers for our Holy Father and the local bishop (in Miami being H.E. Archbishop Favalora) is clearly Catholic as done at the Masses at the Shrine of St. Philomena. The E.D. commision’s secretary has stated this (in regard to Mass & the SSPX) & confirmed through various websites and interviews (including Cardinal Hoyos).

Hi Maurin. I am in Pembroke Pines (next to Hollywood). Unfortunately, our archdiocese has only a very few approved TLM’s-- the one at St Robert Bellarmine is weekly on Sundays; there is one in Lighthouse Point every 1st and 3rd Sunday at St Paul the Apostle, and I believe there is a hospital chapel in South Miami that has a TLM several days a week, but not on Sunday.

I’ve not been to a TLM since I’ve lived here (about 5 years); I don’t particularly like driving in Miami, and Lighthouse Point is too far away. So, I attend Mass at St. Bartholomew’s in Miramar.

Thank you Juno!

I am going to attend the 8 am at St. Robert Bellarmine. It is about a half hour’s drive from Hollywood, according to “Mapquest.”

Thanks again!!!
