Only read if you have a sense of humor!

I fell asleep the other night while praying my rosary. It was a non blessed. relatively cheap rosary, thankfully.

I woke up to see it in peices! Thinking that I either had a visit from Satan or a very anti-catholic burgular, I looked around the house…

and saw my sweet little puppy with the rosary in his mouth. He smiled at me as though nothing was wrong at all.

And this was the same dog who was blessed a few weeks ago! Jeez…

lol!!!

My puppy is infamous for this! I bought 25 (ended up being 50, after the vendor messed up shipping my order and doubled it for me (free of charge) to make up for the error) Rosaries for my CCD class. When I opened up the first box, Rosaries fell everywhere! Before I could stop it, I had at least one very chewed up rosary still in it’s pacakge! Don’t even get me started on some of the other stuff she’s murdered, like my $200 Logitech Harmony Remote 😦

I must really love this puppy, because I haven’t seriously considered killing her yet.

well I haven’t had the experience of dogs eating rosaries, but when we had a puppy he chewed through everything including my couch! It was terrible! Anything left in his reach he would chew up! He didn’t care what it was, toys, clothes, shoes, socks, doors, anything and everything! There wasn’t a single harness that could hold him back or keep him tied up! 😦 It was crazy!!! I thought there was something wrong with the darn thing but he was a puppy and a male!! LOL Our Beagle female when she was a puppy started trying to chew up on things, toys clothes shoes, but that was it and for a little while this puppy didn’t stop at all!! LOL

For some reason my aunt’s dogs like used feminine pads (which he drags out from garbage cans) and panties.

It’s gross. lol.

I’m pretty sure the rite of Canine Exorcism 😉 can be performed by laity at home.

Take the remnants of what used to be your rosary beads and dip every third remaining bead into some hot pepper sauce and allow it to dry. Then put it where fido can easily get hold of it again. Be sure to have plenty of water available.

You can tell the demons are leaving when fido attempts to extend his tongue so far out he could lick the top of his own head.

A side note: I know it sounds mean and cruel, but it works. One of my dogs used to chew wires and we worried constantly about him electrocuting himself one day and we’d come home to find a pile of charcoal and the lamp wouldn’t work. After one taste of a cord with some Texas Pete’s Hot Sauce on it, his affinity for wires was much reduced. I put a few drops of the sauce into a cup of water and misted it on my lamp cords and computer cables (with everything off - need that be said?) and just the faint scent of it keeps the dog away from them.

LOL, I was going to recommend the hot sauce. One of my cats chewed through two sets of computer speaker cords. When I bought the third set of speakers, I rubbed the hottest hot sauce I could find the entire length of the cords. He doesn’t seem the least bit interested in them any more. 😃

When I had my Jack Russell-hound mix, Tia, I always had to keep my bathroom door closed because she would get into the trash basket and shred the used pads that were in there.

And once, when my older sister’s boxer-pit mix got in the bathroom, she did the same thing-and when I got home, there was a big trail of shredded pads ALLLL OVER THE FLOOR!

Needless to say, I wasn’t too happy about it. And when my sister came home after being out with my mother, I showed her ‘the evidence’.

Yeah, it’s gross-but looking back on it, I can laugh about it now.

I miss my Tia-had to put her to sleep in 2006 when she got sick with a blood disorder, which led to kidney failure and anemia. 😦

One good thing about Tia-she never went after underpants. On the other hand, when my sister’s dog was younger, she [the dog] had a ‘panty fetish’. She didn’t shred them, thank God; she just liked to grab them on their way to the laundry basket and lie on them!

Dogs…you just gotta love 'em, even when they become ‘destructos’! 🙂

I think the dog in the OP needs ‘The Dog Whisperer’, not an exorcist! 😃

Ohhh maaannn-that is LOL funny! My eyes are tearing up, ready to bust out laughing in the library! 😃

Very clever, using a hot sauce mist on wires!

Actually, I had my dog blessed. She was a shelter dog from NYC. She behaviorally got better after that. But there was defiantly a spirit of unrest about her. It was a little scary. So I regularly bless her with holy salt and holy water. I do think next time I get an animal I’m going to be 100% sure of where it comes from to make sure it wasn’t used in any demonic ways.

Things my dogs has eaten

3-4 packages of ramen noodles
3 boxes of cheese crakers
feminine garbage (dogs seem to be SO attracted to it!!!)
fortune cookies
butter
garlic salt
duck sauce
plastic sandwitch containers
clove of garlic
etc…

It’s probably the smell…

My dog went through a “chew used pads” phase until dad put the fear of death in her (she’s such a daddy’s girl…he’s the only one she truly respects as a superior).

She somehow managed to scratch/bite a rather large hole in the wall and we don’t have long, vertical blinds across the sliding glass door in the kitchen because she’d tear them to shreds.

Rawhide bones were our best friends. She was so into chewing on those she forgot to be destructive.
