For a while I was really stuck on saying the Rosary in Spanish, and enjoyed doing it even though I don’t speak Spanish. I tried Latin but couldn’t figure out for the life of me how to pronounce some words. Portuguese flew over my head, French, same thing. Anyone else say the Rosary in a language other than their native one?

I can pray the rosary in other languages, but I don’t “like to.” I pray privately in English and, occasionally, in Latin. For public prayer - Mass, liturgical hours in community, etc. - I follow the local custom, but only because I can hardly demand everyone else change their habits just to accommodate me 😁

I used to have a tape where the rosary was said in several languages. If I remember right Ricardo Montalban was leading for the Spanish parts.
As for myself I use English.

I’ve lost some of my French language, and decided to learn prayers in French, so yes the Rosary, and a few others like St Michel Archange . There is a Canadian station that broadcasts the Rosary from Lourdes during weekdays . It’s nice to pray with others even if televised. In our Parish, we recite the Rosary before weekday Mass. Three of the women recite in Italian as the rest recite in English.
