Anyone see the movie CRASH? Thumbs up or down?

I had heard that this was an excellent movie - so we watched it last night. I have to say, I hated it. I thought it was depressing and rather unbelievable - (what are the changes that those 8 or so people’s lives would continue to cross?) Anyhow… if you loved this movie, tell me why because obviously I missed something?

I, too, am curious about this movie. The critics love it and it is getting rave reviews. I have been reluctant to view it though because so much of what passes for great movies today are often anti religion, or just plain depressing. That is why I am looking forward to the answers on this thread. I can’t wait to see what regular people think about CRASH. Then I can decide if it will be a waste of my money to rent this.

It was a good film, except it made me cry in front of my girlfriend (the bit where the girl gets ‘shot’ and she sthinks she’s been saved by of her magic cape). But I thought it was a generally intelligent yet modern piece of drama.

It is a masterpiece in my opinion, but very tough to watch. It shows that all of us, whatever our skin color, socioeconomic status, or position on the political spectrum, don’t trust others at all.

I was all over with this movie, it was depressing because it touched some very real points and that made it so sad, it is worth seeing.
