Beginning January 5, TCM started playing movies from Hayao Miyazaki, the acclaimed director of the award winning Spirited Away , among many others. So I was wondering if anyone here is watching it. I love anime, and I’ve been watching it. I highly recommend any of his movies.

I watched some of the interviews and Spirited Away in the original Japanese.

We have 3 of his films: Spirited Away, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and Castle in the Sky.

I inadvertantly stumbled across it while channel surfing.
It was about the school girl following a cat that got off the train
at the same stop she did and followed it.
Absolutely darling and precious.
What a beautiful story!!!

I like Miyazaki too! Spirited Away is pretty good. If I have kids, I’ll make them watch it. Has anyone watched “Final Fantasy VII: The Advent Children.” I heard it is pretty good too.

I watched “Kiki’s Delivery”, “My Neighbor Totoro”, and “Princess Mononoke”. I didn’t really feel immersed in the stories. I like the characters in “Princess Mononke”, but I felt bored with the movies.

However, I really really enjoyed “Spirited Away”. I don’t know why, I didn’t expect to like it, but I truly enjoyed that film.

Anime is just like other movies and cartoons. Some are really good and some are pretty bad.

I’ve been watching. I’m a big anime fan and I like most of Miyazaki’s movies.
