Appealing annulment to Roman Rota

Annulment was granted by our local archdiocese. My former spouse is appealing to the Roman Rota. What are the chances of this being reversed? I was told by my tribunal office that my former spouse would have had a better chance if she did not go direct to the Roman Rota and just went to a higher level archdiocese. I’m sure how this works but after two years of waiting and being so happy we received this news, I sure don’t want to be let down should this be reversed. Thank you and God bless…

No one here can tell you that. It is based on the merits of the case. And, it would not be prudent to speculate.

I’m not sure why anyone would tell you that. You will have to ask your advocate or the person you spoke to at the tribunal.

It does seem odd that she would appeal directly to the Rota instead of the archdiocesan court of second instance.
 
Thanks, I will ask the person I spoke to at the Tribunal office. I read that the appeal to Roman Rota cost is $1K. Is that correct?
