Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today we celebrate the Memorial of St. Louis de Montfort, who wrote “True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin”. Mass Readings for Tuesday, in the Third week of Easter and two optional Memorial Masses to honor both St. Louis de Montfort and St.Peter Chanel, can be found HERE This thread is on the third option to share those Readings in relation to St. Louis de Montfort’s life.
First Reading for Memorial of St. Lous de Montfort:
The Gospel (Mt 28:16-20) speaks to us also of St. Louis, who preached God’s Word on Wisdom and the Cross in realtion to Mary, tirelessly all over France, as a Missionary. He not only listened to God’s Word by God’s Grace but by that same Grace lived the Truth he heard. His life and work help us to keep listening that we too may live God’s Truth through Mary. Let me close with part of an excerpt from True Devotion, hazcompzt posted yesterday (Apr. 27 thread):

First Reading for Memorial of St. Lous de Montfort:
St. Louis de Montfort’s Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin is probably the “Crown Jewel” of all his written works but I believe God led him to write “True Devotion” only after the saint had prayed for wisdom in listening to the Old Testament book of Wisdom and had written his book on “The Love of Eternal Wisdom” – link is to the online version but it is still being sold at Amazon in paperback see HEREBrothers and sisters:
The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
For it is written:
I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the learning of the learned I will set aside.
Where is the wise one?
Where is the scribe?
Where is the debater of this age?
Has not God made the wisdom of the world foolish?
For since in the wisdom of God
the world did not come to know God through wisdom,
it was the will of God through the foolishness of the proclamation
to save those who have faith.
For Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom,
but we proclaim Christ crucified,
a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but to those who are called, Jews and Greeks alike,
Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom,
and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. (1 Cor 1:18-25)

Mary Mother of the Church, pray for us. St. Louis de Montfort, pray for us.(7) Lastly, Mary must become as terrible as an army in battle array to the devil and his followers, especially in these latter times . For Satan, knowing that he has little time - even less now than ever - to destroy souls, intensifies his efforts and his onslaughts every day. He will not hesitate to stir up savage persecutions and set treacherous snares for Mary’s faithful servants and children whom he finds more difficult to overcome than others.
