Has anyone purchased and read Aquinas’ “Shorter Summa”…I was thinking about buying a copy for my library and I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on it…is it complete for a condensed version? I am sure Aquinas wouldn’t cut out any nuts and bolts of his original Summa…I will probably just go ahead and buy it…since I am such a huge fan of Aquinas.

I have it, I have been working through it. I think it’s good - you get a lot more commentary with it, and I need it getting used to the philosophical style.

It is not complete - it is a sample of the most important questions. I think the theory is, once you have a good grasp on them, you can move on.

Aquinas’ writing takes me a lot of time to get through, so if you are a newbie like me I recommend this book.

Thanks Awalt…I appreciate the response
