The Archdiocese for the Military Services is hosting a Young Adult Retreat at Techny Towers in the Chicago area. Young adults (both men and women) between 18 and 29 years of age, including enlisted personnel, officers (all military services), and military dependents (there are some military dependents between 18 and 21) are invited.
Techny is a beautiful place…attended a retreat there two years ago with a group. Techny even has some contact information for shuttles from either Midway airport or O’Hare. If you fly into Milwaukee, there is a train that goes into Chicago as well. It’s also an easy drive from several places, so if you are stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Ft. McCoy, Great Lakes Naval Base, Scott AFB, Chanute AFB, Wright Patterson AFB, Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ft. Knox, a Coast Guard station along the Great Lakes, and a few others, consider driving. It’s worth taking the time to go on a retreat.
It has a chapel that looks like a Church, good food, nice facilities, and if you arrive early on Friday, confessions are heard beginning at 1600 hours.
The theme is: Serving as a Missionary Disciple
