Last week’s guest on EWTN Live with Fr. Mitch Pacwa wrote a book of the title above.

I thought it was interesting and would be a great reference for us to understand what “ideas” or modes of thought or philosophy has got our current culture in knots—I for one can’t wait to get a hold of this book.

Has anyone read it yet?

My husband and I bought the book not too long ago. He is reading it first and says it is very good.

He said that each person that is profiled had a troubled childhood or family life, which led to their eventual destructive ideas. It is very true what Pope John Paul II has said: “History passes through the family.” (paraphrase).

Just goes to show you that seeds that are planted in our families can be a source of good or evil.

You should go on Planned Parenthood’s website (if you can stomach the lies) and see what they wrote about Margaret Sanger. They try to justify her position on eugenics and sterilizing minorities, it’s a feeble argument at best. Just goes to show that the ends don’t justify the means.

I’m curious to see what that book has to say about her. Maybe I’ll order it one of these days.

Thanks for replying.

I’ve almost finished it. But it’s difficult to finish for these people’s lives are so depressing. What amazes me is that many of them have left a serious scar and festering wounds on the face of modern humanity.

But I’m grateful that it’s written, we might as well know who the Culture of Life is fighting against.

The greatest enemies to the Culture of Life are relativism and indifferentism. If everybody can determine ‘truth’ to be whatever one wants it to be, and if everybody’s opinions are just as vaild as everyone else’s, then anyone can justify anything.

There was a time when, despite differences between beliefs, Western Civilization could agree on certain basics. Now that common ground has been lost. The result is that one can express opinions as fact without any real support, and that one’s beliefs, however illogical and outrageous, must be ‘respected.’

Anyway, that’s my opinion. 🙂
