Sadly there are people, some of them here, for whom my theatrical description is true. It just was not fair, or true, of me to suggest that was a majority, or official, Catholic view.Agreed, I found the post funny as well, for the exact same reasons, because there are extremist out there who seem to think it’s true.
Incidentally, I am a man. Mcteague is the title of a book, and the name of the lead character, by Frank Norris. Norris was of the naturalist school. Think Jack London or
Emil Zola. It is a wonderful story of how people can be corrupted. It was made into a very famous silent film. “Greed” by Eric Von Strohiem.
I definitely recommend it. It is a great read.
