Are Allah And Jesus The Same God?

I think that the question is does Yahweh=God the Father=Allah?

The first two are equal. We understand Yahweh as the Father through Jesus. Jesus taught us a more complete understanding of God.

WE are told that Yahweh is the same as Allah. My only problem in understanding this is why the step back? It seems to me, and I may be missing something, that the understanding that we get from Jesus is not the way Allah is to be understood. Why is that the case? If Islam is correct, why did Jesus the Prophet teach something so incorrect?
Thank you all for not mentioning my stupidity there. I was taking in a lot information and it was late.

You just brought up the reason why I’m not converting.

Which is wrong? I see so much truth in both of them ,yet so much contrast.

That leads me to believe there was a purpose for both of them.

Asalam Alaykum Ralphinal, 🙂

I trust your day went rather well today. The snow has started in my part of the country and it just keeps coming. 🙂

In regards to your question my friend.

I will post your question first.

Well, if we are assuming Islam is correct then Jesus peace and blessing of Allah be upon him never taught he was God. Now when I write this I write in the context of your question IF Islam is correct. 🙂 If Islam is correct Jesus Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him called believers to believe in one God. Like all the prophets of Allah Abraham, Issac, Ishmael, Noah, Jesus, Mohammad, etc Peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all brought the message of worshiping only one God.

So you see in Islam Jesus never taught incorrectly that he was God. He taught man to worship one God. Anyhow, I hope you have a nice evening. I have to go and scoop snow now. Insha’allah it will be easier than this morning. LOL 👍

Since Jesus taught man to worship one God, what is Islams take on the Trinity? Is it made by man or does man misunderstand it?

Does Insha’Allah mean pray to Allah? Be careful out there it can be dangerous shoveling snow.

My day was good, but cold. We don’t get much snow here in Alabama. I hope your day and week are good ones.

Thanks for working with my “if.” I think that we can understand better if we start from an “if” frame. How do you reconcile the statement that Jesus never taught he was God with the verses to the contrary? I can list them all here now, but all through the Gospel of John, including the statement that he and the Father are one (John 10:30-33). Thomas calls the risen Christ “My Lord and my God” John 20:28 This does not include any of the Epistles, only Jesus own words.

only Jesus own words.
Hi

I understand that Jesus own words in Hebrew or Aramaic or the Words from the mouth of GodAllahYHWH revealed on JesusYeshuaIssa in original are not in existence.

What is the exact position in this regard, please?

Thanks

Well first, the Gospels were all written by either Apostles of Jesus or their first generation followers. Thus allowing for accuracy. Secondly, the people who copied these works were of the same mentality as the ancient bardic peoples. In the bardic tradition, the one thing that you would never, ever do is alter the text of the story. Finally, Jesus promised that He would send the Holy Spirit to guide his church in all Truth (John 16:13) and to teach and remind them of everything (John 14:26). In the end, it is a matter of faith. As Catholics (and the Eastern Orhodox as well), we believe that the faith that we have has come to us from the time of Christ by two methods. First, we have the Sacred Scriptures. Secondly, we have the Sacred Traditions.

There are those who say that the origional copies of the Koran are also no longer in existence. I am not sure how valid this charge is. Yes, other copies were gathered up and replaced by one, unified copy. I cannot, however, state that this copy is not a copy of the origional. Further, according to the islam101.com website, many Muslims consider the addition of the vowel markings to the Koran as an alteration of the text.

I do see one major problem with both of our sides. Both of our religions claim texts that we believe are the inspired Word of God. Because the Koran counters at least one matter of faith in the Bible (the Crucifixion), they cannot both be correct. It is possible, at least according to the non-Christian, non-Muslim people, that BOTH are wrong. How can we determine which is correct? In order for this to work, we cannot use quotes from the Bible or the Koran to prove the validity of itself.

Hi

Then how to do determine as to which is correct.

Any suggestion, idea or principle/s?

Thanks

They both could never be further apart. There is nothing similar about them. If there it is a mystery to me.
