and of course all sort of things can be sins in thought alone without any external action.
They can be mortal sins of thought…(without any external action) …lust of course is a frequently given example.
other examples of internal sins that can be at times mortal sin…
anger, rash judgments, hatred, blasphemy, desires to do some particular grave thing …well all sorts of things… (covering all the commandments…)
But again…of course one needs full knowledge and deliberate consent (and some of the above examples are always grave like lust…and others can also be venial matter)…and all sorts of things can come as temptations and not even be any sin (see above)…
