Are annulments infallible statements, or is it possible that there are many false declarations of nullity that are issued?
 
Dear tac,

The Church is guaranteed protection against error in the teaching of faith and morals. Diocesan marriage tribunals are guaranteed no such protection. Human error is possible in the marriage tribunal just as it is in every other human endeavor.
