Are Catholic converts better than cradle Catholics in Apologetics?

What you say may be true but I have heard many Catholics who have been that way since birth say with pride that they’re cradle Catholics.

For some it may be a perjorative–for others it’s a badge of honor.

For me as a convert it would be wrong for me to grumble about the amount of time that it took for me to see the light but sometimes I do wish that I would have been a cradle Catholic. I’d want that for everyone.

I wonder if St. Paul ever wished that his conversion had happened earlier?

I bet he didn’t regret being brought up in the Jewish faith.

With so much that the Lord has for us to do today most of us would probably be better off regretting less and being thankful more!

I suppose in a way, they are. It’s kind of if you know a foreign language, and you’re translating it for someone. You can translate it into your ‘own language’ easier then you could holding a conversation in the other language.

Catholic converts are good apologetics because they have to defend a bad choice
to me this post is disrespectful and unnecessary. You need to think before you speak especially when you say you are speaking as a Christian. If there is no point besides throwing an insult at converted Catholics then let me tell you, you have not impressed me and I am that much more proud to be Catholic.

I think I’ll write a book called ‘allischalmers made me Catholic’. :clapping:
