Anyway, his tweets were correct about Marx and Lenin and Muslims and I can’t say if he’s right on the third, though it likely is due to the place and time most of that took place but the party isn’t really relevant since party affiliation was cultural anyway, not ideological.

His tweets were not correct about Lenin or Marx. Lenin had some Jewish roots, but only through his maternal grandfather. He did, however, fight against antisemitism. Marx was born Jewish but his parents converted to Lutheranism and he was nominally Christian.

Groucho Marx was Jewish.

As you note, Lenin had jewish roots via his grandfather, so not wrong. Marx was the grandson of a rabbi. His father only converted to keep practicing law, not because he believed in Christianity. Glad you didn’t try to say he was wrong about muslims.
