Christ said whoever gives a cup of cold water in my name will not go unrewarded…I think small penances and abstinence are of spiritual benefit

It is allowing the church to mold us into leading a more spiritual walk with God…The widow only gave 2 pennies…Christ said she gave more than all the rest…Christ was subject to the authority of his parents

I think good comes from small imposed penances…they needn’t be huge tasks to obtain spiritual benefits …what do you think?

I think St. Thérèse of Lisieux would agree with you. 😉 This is the “small way” she spoke of. We don’t need to do great acts, only small acts with great love.

I know that I often underestimate the value of these small sacrifices in my day-to-day life. I should break out my St. Thérèse sacrifice beads. It’s just a string of beads you can move from one side to the other. You move one over every time you make a small sacrifice and your goal is to move all ten beads from one side to the other every day.

Thanks for the reminder. 👍

amen Jesus loves the little things we do just like the big ones
